"Pretty Woman" Toddler Prostitute

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: We can safely file this one under WTF. Just when you thought "Toddlers and Tiaras" couldn't get any creepier (ie, dressing one of the young girls up as Dolly Parton complete with a fake bust-line), they manage to hit a new low: in a preview clip of Wednesday night's show on TLC, a three-year-old girl is dressed up as Julia Roberts' character from the 1990 film "Pretty Woman." Okay, so maybe that's not as bad as it sounds, right? Maybe the toddler is dressed up as Julia Roberts when Richard Gere is dressing her up to be a lady, right? Not quite. The mother of young Paisley thought it would be a good idea to dress her child up as the prostitute version with knee-high leather boots, wig and a mini-skirt. If you are reasonably upset about this, you are not alone. The Parents Television Council, an influential watchdog group, has filed a complaint against the reality series saying: "We have a serious problem when The Learning Channel features a toddler, who probably hasn't even learned to read, dressed as a prostitute showing off her sexy strut. There's no question, TV executives are complicit in robbing these small kids of their childhood. For years we've seen adult sexuality being inappropriately and aggressively foisted on innocent young children, but children today are being sexualized at younger and younger ages. All available data suggests they will suffer for it later in life." So what do you think? Does "Toddlers and Tiaras" hurt children, or is it just harmless entertainment?
