He played Dr. Evil's handyman, "Random Task," in the 1997 film, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, starring Mike Myers. According to KTLA, the victim alleges that Son and another man brutally raped and tortured her on Christmas Eve in 1990. DNA collected from Son in 2008 as a result of a probation violation from an unrelated vandalism charge linked him to the crime. Initially, Son faced a maximum sentence of 275 years, which has been reduced to 15 years, because the statute of limitations had expired on several charges. A co-defendant pleaded guilty to the rape, kidnapping and other charges and was sentenced to 17 years and four months in prison. The 40-year-old Son is scheduled for sentencing on Sept. 19.
