How to Do the Happy Feet Dance

Pivot your right foot right on its heel while pivoting your left foot right on its toe. Reset by pivoting both feet back to the left, leaving them flat on the floor again. When you reset, remember to keep your knees loose. 2. To do this in the other direction, pivot your left foot left on its heel while pivoting your right foor left on its toe. Reset by pivoting both feet back to the right, leaving them flat on the foor. As you become more comfortable with this move, you can add head movements or do a double on each side. Heel Toe Happy Feet Hop With this, rather than pivoting each foot to get into the position—right foot turned right on the heel, left foot turned right on the toe—you'll be doing a small hop directly into the position. To do this, you'll have to pivot those feet in midair. On each reset, bend your knees to make the small hop easier. Walk Out Happy Feet 1. Step your right foot forward and to the right, placing it on its heel. Step your left foot forward and to the left, placing it on its heel. 2. Step your right foot backward, placing it on its toe. Step your left foot backward, placing it on its toe. Step your right foot forward again with the heel, then the left foot with the heel. Switch Foot 1. Lift up on the toe of the left foot, turning the heel slightly inward. During this, pivot your right foot to the right on its heel. Reset both feet by making the left foot flat on the floor and pivoting the right foot back in. 2. To do this in the other direction, lift up on the toe of the right foot, turning the heel slightly inward. During this, pivot your left foot to the left on its heel. Reset both feet by making the right foot flat on the floor and pivoting the left foot back in. Combination After learning all of these variations of the happy feet, try doing them all in a row, one after the other, each in a right, left, right, left pattern. Arms Because there are no set arm movements for the happy feet, you can use any of the arm moves you've already learned in this course.
