Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 When you're editing your Pro Tools project, you can select only part of a region rather than the entire region. This can help when you want to edit just one section of the region. There are several different ways to select a part. They can help you save time when editing.? 1. Click and drag: Use your cursor to highlight and select the part of the region you want to edit. Hover over the starting point with your mouse and click. Then drag through the region to the end point. The section will be selected.? To make it a separate clip from the rest of the region, click "V" on your keyboard. This will isolate it within the track and you can edit just the section.? 2. Multiple regions: To edit a section on multiple tracks, you can use your cursor to highlight them. Click and drag over all the regions and they will be highlighted. Then edit them the same way you would edit a single region. 3. Numerical: An older technique for selecting sections is by using the numerical values at the top of the window.?The Start number shows where the play marker is, and the End number is where you place it later in the song.? To make a selection, enter a number, such as 1, into the Start box to highlight the region between that and your play marker. Then continue editing the region normally.
