Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: When you're editing a Pro Tools session, there are multiple ways to select your audio regions. This can increase your efficiency if you're working on different parts of the project.? Start off with a session that has multiple tracks. When you want to select a certain audio region, you have three main options:? 1. Region bin: You can select regions from the bin on the right side of the screen.? To access the region bin, click on the arrow button in the bottom right corner of the window. The bin will open up and you can view every audio region in the session. When you select a region in the bin, it will highlight on its track.? 2. Grabber tool: Select the grabber tool in the smart tool region of the top bar. This will turn your cursor into a hand icon when you hover it over the lower part of an audio region.? Click on the region to select it. Remember to make sure your cursor is over the lower part and it has the hand icon; otherwise it will only select part of the region.? 3. Selector tool: Use the selector tool in the smart tool bar to select part or all of an audio region. This will turn your mouse cursor into a text cursor. You can use it to click and drag over the part of the region you want to select.? Another way to use the selector tool is by placing your play marker at one end of the region, holding down Shift and clicking the cursor where you want the region to end. The distance between the play marker and the cursor will be selected. Read more by visiting our page at:
