Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 If you click on the small arrow at the bottom right corner of the screen, you will reveal the Regions Bin. In this bin, you can see a listing of every audio region you have recorded in your song session. 1. By default, Pro Tools does not show an audio region's name. To change this, navigate up to the top menu bar and click View -- Region -- Name. 2. This will cause Pro Tools to display the name for each individual audio region directly on the regions themselves in the upper left corner. Also by default, Pro Tools refers to the root name of a track in order to define the name and number of an audio region. This can be very bland and uninspiring.? So, to change this, you can easily change the name of the audio regions you record to better reflect the qualities of the track. 1. All you have to do is double-click on the audio region you wish to rename and you'll be presented with the Name dialog box.? 2. Rename the region by typing in the appropriate field and press OK when you're done. 3. Feel free to do this with each region to avoid the staleness of Pro Tools' systematic number-based naming system. 4. When you rename an audio region, the change will also take effect in the Regions Bin in real time.
