How to Do Turning Cramp Rolls in Tap Dance

Learn guitar chords for FREE through our new game Chord Master: What are turning cramp rolls? When performing a turning cramp roll, the rules that apply are a little different from a regular cramp roll.A regular cramp roll is completed by tapping on your right toe, then left toe, then right heel and finally left heel. You could also start with your left toe, then right toe, then left heel and finally right heel as well. When you turn, however, these same rules don't apply. Instead, if you start with your right toe followed by your left toe, you would then drop your left heel followed by your right heel. So, basically the ordering of the sequence's last two steps are reversed. You do this because when you're turning you need a way to step out of the turn.Step-by-Step Instructions1. Place your hands on your hips to help maintain your balance. With your right foot stamp out to the side, turning your body and opening up your stance. 2. The first step of the cramp roll will be with your left foot as you step forward and tap your left toe. Turn as you do this. 3. Follow your step with a tap on your right toe. When you're up on both toes, drop your right heel first (since your right toe was the previous step) and then your left heel. Keep turning throughout your steps.4. The last step is a stamp out to the side. You should end the move in the position you started from.Try turning the other way when you're comfortable with the steps. Read more by visiting our page at:
