Click this button.? This will reveal a new timeline. Click on the plus (+) sign at the lower left corner to create a new timeline.? * You have the ability to name the timeline, set the Video Properties, set the Audio and Render Properties, and choose the Audio Channels, Audio Sample Rate and the Render Format before pressing OK.? * If you decide to Duplicate a Project, you can choose to Duplicate the Project Only, Duplicate the Project and Referenced Events or?Duplicate the Project and Used Clips Only. *You can choose to save the clips to a certain hard drive, but you cannot choose exactly where on the hard drive to save. In short, you can create multiple timelines for one project, and you can sort those multiple timelines into a folder or folders of your choosing. Final Cut Pro X makes it so you can consolidate everything in an efficient manner.
