You can re-record a take without losing the audio of the original take you're recording over. Try recording something. Be sure to turn on Record Enable before recording to a track. Open the Regions bin by clicking on the small arrow in the lower right corner of the screen.? The audio clips you record will be stored in the Regions bin.? If you ever accidentally delete an audio clip from your timeline, you can always recover that clip from the Regions bin by clicking and dragging it from the bin to the timeline.
