Setting Levels - Pro Tools 9

To set the levels for a track, first make sure it's record enabled by turning on the appropriate button. Make sure you choose the correct interface. The velocity meter will indicate whether or not you are receiving a signal on the track. This picture shows a signal that is too low, so it needs to be raised. Raise the gain on the track to increase the level of audio signal being input into Pro Tools. Raise it until the signal peaks in the upper portion of the yellow part int he velocity meter.
