Record Enabling - Pro Tools 9

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 The Record Enable button arms and pre-empts your track, so to speak, to allow for recording. It's important to keep in mind that this button is not the record button. It's designed to act as more of a safety feature in Pro Tools than anything else. It's meant to make you double check your workflow so you can make sure you're recording on the right track. If you press the record button without any track that is record enabled, you will get a message from Pro Tools indicating that no tracks are record enabled. Press the Record Enable button on any track to enable recording. If you press and hold Option on your keyboard and click just one of the Record Enable buttons, you will turn all of them on.? You can also de-select all of them by holding Option and clicking on one of the buttons. If you want to enable recording on three of your four tracks, just hold Shift+Option on your keyboard and click on one of the Record Enable buttons on one of the three tracks you have highlighted and selected.
