Quick Punch Record Mode - Pro Tools 9

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: Quick Punch Mode allows you to record just a tiny section of an audio clip, such as one note, without recording over everything else. For instance, let's say you recorded a clip with some good notes and some bad notes. The bad notes are highlighted with the dark gray selection. You want to replace these bad notes with good ones by re-recording.? However, you still want to keep the rest of the notes before and after this bad section in the clip. To set up Quick Punch Mode so you can do this, navigate to the top tool bar where the play back and record buttons are.? Press and hold Control and click on the record button until it appears with a P in the middle. You could also right-click on the record button and choose QuickPunch from the drop down menu. Or you could navigate to the top menu bar and click Options -- QuickPunch. Now, when you press record, Pro Tools will limit recording to occur only within the parameters of the region you highlighted in the timeline. You can also punch in to record while playing back an audio clip by pressing 3 on the numpad. Press 3 again to stop recording. Read more by visiting our page at:
