Since there are different kinds of tracks, such as audio, auxiliary, instrument or master, this can help you quickly determine which one you have.? Look at the channel strip of one track in the Mix Window. Near the bottom on the right side of the dynamic button, you'll see an icon. The icon will very depending on what kind of track it is. Pro Tools automatically labels each track with a representative icon. ?? It's a good idea to learn the meanings of each icon so that you can quickly identify the kind of track you're working on.? * An audio wave icon represents an audio track.? * A down arrow icon represents an auxiliary track.? * A greek sigma symbol, Σ, represents a master fader track.? * A pronged circle represents a MIDI track.? * A piano key icon represents an instrument track.
