You can also convert your audio using the converter and make sure the Sample Rate of your audio remains the same when you import. If not, the audio you import could sound sped up. With your Pro Tools session open, navigate to the top menu bar and click File -- Import -- Audio. This will call up a finder dialog box in which you would choose the location of the audio file you would like to import. When you've chosen your audio file, click Convert.?This will add the selected audio file to the Regions to Import box.? Now, make sure the Apply SRC box is checked and change the Source sample rate to match the original Sample Rate of the audio file.? Also, make sure the Quality is set to the slowest setting possible and click Done.? Be sure to save this file in the Audio Files folder of your song session.?When the audio has finished processing, select New Track and click OK.
