Grid Value - Pro Tools 9

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 What Is Grid Value? Adjusting the Grid Value allows you to change the number of lines on your grid in the edit window timeline. Depending on how precise you want to be with your editing, changing the Grid Value allows you to get extremely tight. For instance, when you're editing drum tracks, you want them to be as in time on the timeline grid as possible. You may have a strike, such as a kick, that needs to be moved slightly to fall in line better with the timeline grid. Changing the Grid Value You can adjust the Grid Value by navigating to the top tool bar. The Grid Value box is located next to the Counter Display.? Click on the box to show the drop down menu where you can change the number of grid lines that appear in the edit window. If you want a line to appear every bar, 1/2 note, 1/4 note or 1/8 note, you have the option to choose these. Adding more grid lines allows you to be more precise with your edits. You can even be as precise as 1/64 notes. Read more by visiting our page at: http://www.mahalo.com/courses/learn-pro-tools-9-part-1/tools-and-displays/grid-value//
