Counter Display - Pro Tools 9

Learn guitar chords for FREE through our new game Chord Master: What Is the Counter Display? The Counter Display is located at the top of the screen above the top tool bar in an open Pro Tools session. It looks like a digital clock with green-colored digital numbers. Click on the small arrow located in the middle of the display to reveal a drop down menu.? Here, you can choose how you want to view your edit window. Choices include Bars|Beats, Min:Sec, Time Code, Feet+Frames and Samples. With Bars|Beats chosen, the numbers 120| 2| 480 in the Counter Display correlate with the bar timeline to indicate exactly where the play marker is. 120 refers to the measure and 2 refers to the bar in that measure. Selecting Min:Sec will make the bar timeline indicate minutes and seconds, and so on with each option available. Another feature of the Counter Display is the ability to view two displays. To do so, select Show Sub Counter from the small arrow's drop down menu. This will split the Counter Display into two counters. Finally, you can select an audio region in the edit window and see where the Start and End of that selection take place on the timeline.? You can also view the Length of that selection, which is 12 seconds in the example. Read more by visiting our page at:
