Stan Lee Denies Comic-Con Illness

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 Did Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee fall ill at Comic-Con? TMZ reports that the 88-year-old creator of Spider-Man and the Hulk, among many others, was NOT, in fact, rushed to the hospital while attending the iconic pop culture event in San Diego. US Weekly broke the rumor on their Twitter account on Thursday July 21, but then retracted it the same day. Lee confirmed he was fine when he called TMZ's Harvey Levin and told him, "It'll be very embarrassing if I do get sick and have to go to the hospital after I've denied I'm sick and I'm the hospital, because then no one will believe it! At the moment I'm at Comic-Con and I just finished the greatest sandwich and I'm about to leave to do some interviews. So I don't know how the hell that rumor got started." http://tmz.vo.llnwd.net/o28/newsdesk/tmz_audio/072111_stan_lee_2_1-2.mp3 http://www.gossipcop.com/stan-lee-rushed-hospital-hospitalized-comic-con-comiccon-2011-sick-rumor-us-weekly/ http://twitter.com/#!/usweekly/statuses/94174411749462016 http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0498278/ http://www.tmz.com/2011/07/21/stan-lee-comic-con-rushed-to-hospital-san-diego-convention-marvel-captain-america/
