Set Up Play-lists in Windows Media Player

Creating Playlists --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. In your Windows Media Player library,?highlight the songs you want to put in a playlist.?To highlight a range of songs, click on the first song, hold?Shift?then click on the last song. Release?Shift.If you want to deselect a song, hold Shift and click the song.2. Right click on a highlighted song and click Add to -- Play list.3. The songs will appear on the right side of the window in an unsaved playlist. In the Unsaved playlist title field, type in a name for the playlist, then press Enter.4. Your new playlist will appear in the left-hand menu under the?Playlists category. Make sure this category is expanded by clicking the arrow next to Playlists. Exporting Your New Playlist --------------------------------------------------------------------- You can now export your new playlist, in order to have a backup of it or be able to play it in a different media player.1. Click File -- Save Now Playing list as... in the top menu.2. In the Save As window, select the location you would like to save this playlist file to on your computer. Give it a name in the File name field.Choose the type of file you would like to save it as by clicking on the Save as type bar. We recommend an M3U file, because these will work in multiple media players.After this, click?Save. Creating a Shortcut on Your Desktop --------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have saved this file in a location other than the Desktop, you can create a shortcut to it on your desktop.Right click on the file and drag to the Desktop. In the resulting menu, click Create shortcuts here. Pinning a Playlist to the Taskbar --------------------------------------------------------------------- To easily access your new playlist, you can pin it to the taskbar.Right click on the Windows Media Player icon in your taskbar. In the menu, find your new playlist. Click the pin next to it.Now, anytime you right click on the taskbar's Windows Media Player icon, the playlist will be there. Read more by visiting our page at:
