You can also press the appropriate button in the top tool bar. With this tool selected, you can zoom in and out on your composition. Another way you can zoom without selecting the tool is by using your scroll wheel on your mouse and scrolling up or down. This will also allow you to zoom in and out on your composition. For the most part, using your mouse's scroll wheel will suffice. However, there are other times where selecting the Zoom Tool can come in handy. For instance, perhaps there is one particular item or element on your composition that you want to quickly zoom in on. With the Zoom Tool selected, you can easily click and drag over the area of your composition that you want to zoom in on and isolate just that particular area. *If you press and hold Alt/Option with the Zoom Tool selected, each mouse click will cause your view to zoom out and center your display on the point you click. *To reset the zoom of your current active view to 100%, double-click the Zoom Tool button in the top tool bar.
