Creating a Template - Pro Tools 9

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: While Pro Tools does offer many default templates to choose from when creating a new one, many times they don't come with all of the features you're looking for. They may not come preloaded with all of the plugins you want or all of the tracks you wish to have. But you can easily create your own template to create new sessions from in the future. Start by Creating a Blank Session. Set the session to a Sample Rate of 48 kHz, 24-bit Depth and .WAV Audio File Type. Press OK, name the session and Save it to your hard drive. When it's created in Pro Tools, it will be a completely blank session. Add the tracks you wish to add, and when you have things set up the way you like, you're ready to Save what you've created as a Template. To do so, navigate to the top menu bar and click File -- Save As Template. You'll be able to choose the Category you want to save the template as from the following selections: Eleven Rack Guitar ICON Misc Music Post Production Record+Mix Songwriter VENUE Live Sound You can even Add a Category if you want to create something more specific and tailored to your individual customization. Before pressing OK, choose whether you want to Install template in system or Select location for template. You'll probably just want to Install. Read more by visiting our page at:
