How to Rip an Audio CD in MediaMonkey --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Insert your audio CD into your CD drive.2. Open MediaMonkey. Your CD will appear in the menu on the left-hand side, and a tab will appear at the top. On the bottom of the window, the phrase Reading files... will appear. A list of your files will appear.3. Below the CD tab at the top, click Rip Audio CD...4. In the Rip CD window, you can choose which files will be ripped to your computer. Choose them, then choose your desired format. Click Settings.5. Choose Use manual settings.?Click the bar next to?Bitrate:, then select any bitrate from?192?up to and including?320. These bitrates will make the file size larger, but they also make for a higher-quality sound.You can also choose the Mode, meaning mono, stereo, joint stereo or dual channel.You can also choose the Type of bitrate, meaning constant, variable or average. With variable, the quality changes depending on how much is needed for that part of the song. With less sound, there will be less quality needed. Constant keeps the quality the same throughout.After making your selections, click OK.6. To choose where you would like your CD's audio files to copy to, click the file icon. Choose the location, then click OK. ?7. You can select any options you would like, including auto-ejecting the CD after ripping and leveling out the audio on the CD, which gives the tracks a constant volume.
