Crime Writer Doubts Knox's Guilt

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: Crime writer Douglas Preston, other of "The Monster of Florence", has serious doubts whether 24-year-old Amanda Knox is guilty for murdering her female roommate in 2007. The murder took place in Perugia, Italy and has stirred international debate regarding questionable evidence and methodology by Italian investigators. When Preston heard that the assistant prosecutor of the Knox case was Guiliano Mignini, he began to question the validity of the entire case. Preston said that he met Mignini in 2004 when the prosecutor questioned him for the Monster of Florence murders — the subject which Preston was in Italy researching — he said the encounter spooked him so much, he decided to leave the country out of fear that he might falsely be accused of the murders. Mignini was convicted and received a 16-month suspended sentence for abusing his office over law enforcement tactics. Knox and her boyfriend were convicted in 2009 of murdering Meredith Kercher.
