Using a Mac - Keyboard Shortcuts --------------------------------------------------------------------- Keyboard shortcuts are important because they can quickly and easily increase the efficiency in one's workflow. They are extremely convenient and will save time and energy. On a Mac keyboard, two keys that are important for shortcuts are Control and Command. On a PC, you would hold down CTRL with any other key to execute a shortcut command. On a Mac, however, you would hold down Command with any other key to execute a shortcut command. CTRL serves an entirely different function. * Command+C = Copy * Command+X = Cut * Command+V = Paste * Command+O = Open * Command+N = New * Command+P = Print * Command+Q = Quit * Command+S = Save * Command+A = Select All * Command+Z = Undo Any of these commands can also be accessed with the mouse in the top menu bar of a program, either under File or Edit.
