Smallville Actor Going to Prison for Drugs

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: "Smallville" actor Sam Jones has been sentenced to one year in prison for drug charges. On Wednesday June 22, 2011, the 28-year-old actor was sentenced to 366 days in federal prison, according to Radar Online. Jones was arrested in October 2008 by the US Drug Enforcement Administration when they raided his Los Angeles home. He pled guilty to conspiracy to sell more than 10,000 pills of Oxycodone, a potent painkiller. TMZ reports that Jones begged for leniency, explaining he's lost his dog, car and acting job on "Blue Mountain State" as a result of the drug charges. The judge decided to give Jones the minimal sentence due to his "minor role" in the drug deal. According to E! online, Jones remains free on bond until he surrenders to authorities to begin serving his sentence.
