A convicted killer has come forward to say he was behind the 1994 robbery and shooting of Tupac Shakur that was the catalyst behind the bloody feud many blame for the rapper's murder two years later. Dexter Isaac, now serving a life sentence in Brooklyn, NY, told on June 15, 2011 that he robbed and shot Tupac outside the Quad Studio in Manhattan in November 1994 on the orders of hip hop mogul James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond. The attack landed Tupac in a Manhattan hospital with five gunshot wounds.?The 46 year-old Isaac said Rosemond, the CEO of Czar Entertainment, paid him $2,500 for the task. Rosemond's lawyer has quickly responded by telling the Daily News, "It's a flat-out lie." Rosemond is currently a federal fugitive wanted for narcotics charges.?On June 16 — what would have been Tupac's 40th birthday — the NYPD launched a formal investigation into Issac's confession, which may shed light on his unsolved 1996 murder in Las Vegas.
