Visit the official Mahalo page: In a shocking turn of events, congressman Anthony Weiner has admitted he sent lewd photos of himself to women on the Internet. On June 6, 2011, Weiner confided he had six online relationships over the last three years and that he sent the photo of his bulging underwear that caused "Weinergate." While standing before reporters at a press conference in New York, the congressman maintained that he does not believe he broke the law, that his wife was "very upset" but they plan to stay together, and that he will not resign.? The disgraced congressman said that the women "are generally women that I met on Facebook." He said he never met them in person, and has never had sex outside of his marriage. Weiner spent nine days denying he had anything to do with the photos, and at times even became irate when journalists probed the matter. At the time, Weiner said he was the victim of a hacker and a prank. He now clarified that the infamous underwear photo was intended to be sent privately, and was posted to Twitter by mistake. "Once I realized I had posted to Twitter, I panicked, I took it down and said that I'd been hacked."? At the startling press conference, a contrite Weiner explained, "I lied because I was embarrassed. I lied because I was ashamed of what I did and didn't want to get caught." In July 2010, Weiner married?Huma Abedin, one of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's aides. She was not at the press conference and he did not state her current whereabouts.? Sources:!/repweiner
