Round your answer. A. 1.8%B. 55%C. 45%D. 35%E. 16% The Correct Answer --------------------------------------------------------------------- If you answered C. 45%, you're correct. If you didn't, you can either go back and try again or see how to get the correct answer below. Start by finding out what percentage of students did pass. That would be 20 students out of 36, which is expressed mathematically as 20/36. This equals 0.55. When you express this as a percentage, you get 55 percent. But you want to know the percentage of students that DIDN'T pass. Since 100 percent of students took the quiz, you need to subtract the 55 percent from the 100 percent to get 45 percent.
