This means that it continually shields you from online threats and checks any files that you download.?Many free versions of antivirus software do not include real-time protection. In addition, some software does not offer an automatic USB vaccination that scans drives for viruses when you insert them into your computer. Both these options are good to have on your computer, so make sure you find an antivirus that will provide the best protection. Make Sure the Antivirus is Running --------------------------------------------------------------------- Once you install your antivirus, you should check to make sure it's running when you browse the internet.?Method 1: Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to bring up a monitor of all the processes running on your computer. Find your antivirus program and make sure it is running and continually checking your system.?Method 2: Often the antivirus program is located in the task bar of your computer. Click the antivirus icon and make sure it says it is running.?If your antivirus program is running properly, it will alert you when you try to download a file that contains malicious software.
