SALE TODAY: Learn Piano on iOS In this video, Mahalo's Photoshop expert Justin Zagri explains how Smart Objects work and why you'll want to create them. Photoshop Tutorial - Smart Objects --------------------------------------------------------------------- Now that you're much better organized, you'll want to start making the appropriate changes to your image. First, you'll want to create a Smart Object. Smart Objects are like Photoshop files within Photoshop files. When they are created, they take your image and store its original data, making it so that the changes you make are not permanent and can be reverted. This becomes extremely useful for an image that incorporates multiple layers. In the Layers panel, select both layers that make up your character. Right-click and select Convert to Smart Object. This changes it to one layer with a small icon in the corner of the image in the layer.? Double-click on that icon and you'll be shown a box that basically tells you to press Save in order to Save any changes once you're finished. As you continue to add layers, add effects and make changes to the character's color or contrast, it's important to continue combining these different things into Smart Objects. This will help you keep from getting confused with all of the multiple layers you will be using. Read more by visiting our page at:
