Photoshop Tutorial - Magic Wand Tool

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 In this video, Mahalo expert Justin Z. explains how to use the Magic Wand tool to select portions of an image. Magic Wand Tool --------------------------------------------------------------------- The Magic Wand is an image selection tool that allows you to make a single selection of a well-defined area of your image such as a sky or a solid color. With a single click, and the adjustment of a few options, it can be a useful tool for isolating major parts of your image and quickly changing them. 1. To access the tool, click on the icon in the Tool bar that looks like a magic wand. Hold down the click to bring up the two options and select Magic Wand Tool.?2. Place the tool over a well-defined part of your image and click once. The Magic Wand will select that area to the best of its ability. To access more of the area, press and hold Shift and click again in another area. This will combine the image or make them one single selection even if they separate.3. If you want to take away from a selection, press and hold Alt (Option for Mac), then click with your mouse.?4. When you have your area selected, you can do anything from copying it to deleting it to isolating it so you can make changes to the specific area.5. The tool is useful for isolating large single colors or areas, but it takes some difficulty to select a complicated, colorful area.6. Be sure to check out other selection tools like the Lasso for more direct control. Read more by visiting our page at: http://www.mahalo.com/photoshop-tutorial-magic-wand-tool/
