Photoshop Tutorial - Destroy City - Add Rust and Age

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 In this video, Mahalo's Photoshop expert Justin Zagri demonstrates how to add rust and age to increase destructive elements to a building by using the Burn Tool. Photoshop Tutorial - Destroy City - Add Rust and Age --------------------------------------------------------------------- Now that you've added destructive elements to the building, you'll want to incorporate details from the original building a little more. This will help the two buildings blend into one and appear unified. Specifically, you'll want to adjust the colors. The first thing you'll want to do is create a bit of a rusted effect on the building itself. The Burn Tool is very effective for creating dark shadows, and in this building's case it will create a nice, rusted look. Grab the Burn Tool from the left side tool bar and adjust the brush's settings in the top options panel. Select Spatter 24 pixels, set the Range to Midtones and decrease the Exposure to 75%.? Make sure the Cityscape layer is selected and begin coloring in the building's edges with the Burn Tool. It's a very subtle effect at first, but the more you do it the more you'll start to see the difference. Try to be as chaotic as possible about it to give it a realistic effect. Feel free to expand the Burn?effect to the rest of the building. You can even go over other buildings since you'll be experimenting with those layers later.
