Commutative Property of Addition --------------------------------------------------------------------- This property states that if you have A plus B, that is equal to B plus A. The order doesn't matter as long as all the numbers involved are being added to each other. Associative Property of Addition --------------------------------------------------------------------- This property states that if you have A plus the quantity B plus C, that is the same as the quantity A plus B plus C. It doesn't matter which two you associate together in the parentheses as long as all numbers involved are being added to each other.
