How to Get Tickets to "Saturday Night Live" --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Saturday Night Live" is the longest-running show on NBC, and tickets are not easy to come by. There's a lottery for advance tickets, and there are also standby tickets given out the day of each show. No one under age 16 is admitted.?Be sure to dress appropriately—it gets very cold in the studio. Advance Tickets --------------------------------------------------------------------- Advance tickets are only available online. In August, submit a request via e-mail to [email protected], making sure to?include your contact information. You'll then be included in the ticket lottery for the upcoming season. You don't get to choose which date you'll attend, so do not request a specific date. This makes going to tapings a bit easier for people who live in New York, as opposed to tourists (unless they can plan their trip around the date of the show). You can only send one request e-mail per household. If you're selected, you'll get a confirmation e-mail and two tickets to either a live taping or a dress rehearsal. If you are not selected, you will not receive an e-mail, and you'll have to try again the following August. Standby Tickets --------------------------------------------------------------------- Standby tickets are only available in person. On the day of each taping, standby tickets are given out at 7 a.m. on the 49th Street side of 30 Rockefeller Plaza,?New York, NY 10012.?Aside from "minimal, necessary breaks," there is no leaving and coming back to the standby line. It's first come, first served. You'll get one standby ticket only, and you'll be able to choose if it'll be for the 8 p.m. dress rehearsal or the 11:30 p.m. live taping.c That night, make sure to arrive no later than 7:15 p.m. for the dress rehearsal; arrive no later than 10:45 p.m. for the live show.?Standby tickets don't guarantee admission. c Before attempting to get standby tickets, make sure to check the guest line-up on the "SNL" website. Whoever the guests are often determines how difficult it will be to get tickets. Getting to the Studio --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Saturday Night Live" is filmed at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10012.?The closest parking garage is the Rockefeller Center Garage, located at?25 West 48th Street.
