History Brush Tool --------------------------------------------------------------------- The History Brush is an interesting tool that allows you to use a paintbrush to delete or reveal pieces of your image based on elements in your History window. Basically, you can paint into the past.? 1. In the tool bar, click on the History Brush tool. It looks like a "paint brush" with a "circular arrow." You can also press Y on your keyboard for quick access. In order for this tool to work, you need to have a work in progress with past commands.2. Go to your History tool bar and click on a past command. Once selected, click and drag across your image to see the result. What you see is a brush stroke that is deleting the command you have chosen.?3. The tool can be used for all kinds of things such as retouching certain effects so you can get rid of small pieces of the image that you didn't want to be affected.?4. It's difficult to gauge a practical use for this tool, but as you can see its possibilities are limited only to the number of commands your History has.?5. On the top Options panel are a few abilities to enhance this tool. These include the following: * Composition Effects?(like multiplying and deleting) * Opacity * Flow * Stylus Options Give this tool a try if for no other reason than to see the cool effects it has.
