2011 Grammy Award Winners

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: Lady Antebellum, Arcade Fire and Lady Gaga were among the night's biggest winners at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, which aired live on CBS last night.? The evening included live performances from several Grammy nominees and some musical legends, including Eminem (with Dr. Dre), Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber (with Usher), Cee-Lo Green, Barbra Streisand, Bob Dylan and Mick Jagger.? In what some are calling a "shocking" win, Canadian band Arcade Fire won Album of the Year for The Suburbs, beating out heavy hitters like Eminem, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.? In another "upset" of sorts, jazz vocalist Esperanza Spalding beat out Justin Bieber, Drake, Florence and the Machine and Mumford & Sons for Best New Artist.? CNN says upset Bieber fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure about Bieber's loss, even going so far as to edit Spalding's Wikipedia page with "irate" entries. Multiple Grammy Award winners included Lady Antebellum with five, including Record and Song of the Year for "Need You Now."? Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster won Best Pop Vocal Album.? Gaga got tongues wagging before the show even began, arriving on the red carpet in a giant egg.? She later emerged from the egg on stage to perform her new single, "Born This Way."? Other multiple winners last night included Eminem, with wins for Best Rap Album and Rap Solo Performance and Jay-Z with wins for Best Rap Song and Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for "Empire State of Mind."? Muse won Best Rock Album for "The Resistance" and Train won Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for "Hey Soul Sister." The night also featured several musical tributes, including a tribute to Aretha Franklin to kick off the show.? Yolanda Adams, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Florence Welch and Martina McBride performed several of Franklin's most well-known songs.? After the performance, Aguilera slipped and fell as she left the stage.? Mick Jagger also performed a tribute to the late soul singer Solomon Burke last night.? This was Jagger's first-ever performance at the Grammys. One of the more colorful 2011 Grammy performances came from Cee-Lo Green, who belted out a "clean" version of his hit song "Forget You" with help from Gwyneth Paltrow and several puppets from the Jim Henson Company.?
