How to Toast Nuts on the Stove

What You'll Need --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Whole nuts* 1 pan * 1 spatula Instructions --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Buy fresh nuts. If you have nuts stored in your pantry, they may be rancid after sitting for several months. Extend the shelf life of your nuts by placing them in your freezer. 2. Place nuts in a single layer in the bottom of your pan. Spread out the nuts with your hands as needed. 3. Put your pan on the stove over medium-high heat. 4. Stir your nuts as the natural oils start to come out and make the nuts glisten. Stir constantly if your nuts are placed over high heat and about every 30 seconds over a lower flame. 5. Adjust the temperature as needed to ensure the nuts cook evenly. 6. Remove the pan from the stove once all your nuts feature a golden-brown hue on each side. 7.
