Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 In this video, Mahalo math expert Allison Moffett shows you how to calculate the surface area of a cube. What Is a Cube? --------------------------------------------------------------------- A cube is a box. What makes it a cube is that each face of the box is a perfect square, meaning that each edge of the cube is the same length. Examples of a cube would be a pair of dice or a box where all the sides have the same measurement. Surface Area of a Cube Formula --------------------------------------------------------------------- To find the surface area, first multiply the length by the width to find the area. Since a cube is made up of six perfect squares, multiply the area by six.?In the example below, the cube has sides (s) that each measure four. Plug four into the formula to find the surface area. Remember that since you squared one of the numbers, your units will also be squared (square feet, square inches, square miles, etc).
