How To Gift Wrap an Odd-Shaped Present

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: Mahalo expert Keltie Colleen shows you how to wrap an odd-shaped present. Wrapping presents for the holidays or for a special gift-giving occasion can be a simple process if the gift is contained in a box. Many gifts are not conveniently contained in an easy-to-wrap package, so you may be faced with the need to gift wrap an odd-shaped present. While your first reaction may be to purchase a box large enough to contain the gift, it is an unnecessary step that can add an additional cost to your gift giving enterprise. Wrapping an odd-shaped present can be an easy process that requires about the same amount of time as wrapping a standard present. As with most wrapping exercises, you will need some basic supplies to complete the project. Customize your wrapping by selecting a wrapping paper and ribbon that reflects your style and the occasion. Step 1: Gather Supplies --------------------------------------------------------------------- Obtain basic scissors, clear tape, wire edged ribbon, tissue paper and wrapping paper. Customize your wrapping to the holiday and your color and pattern preferences. Make sure your wrapping paper and tissue paper is large enough to cover your present. Locate a flat surface where you can work such as your kitchen table or other clear surface. Step 2: Prepare Wrapping Supplies --------------------------------------------------------------------- Roll out your wrapping paper flat on your work surface with the inside facing up. Place your tissue paper on top of the wrapping paper, then cut your wrapping paper about an inch to two inches larger than your tissue paper along all sides. Place your odd-shaped package in the middle of your tissue paper. Try to place the object with a flat side down if possible. Step 3: Wrap and Decorate --------------------------------------------------------------------- Take two opposite corners of your wrapping paper and bring them together above the present to form a triangle shape. Take the other two corners and bring them to the center with your other paper points. Locate the present and cinch your paper with your hands above the top of your present. Cut a length of your wire edged ribbon and wrap it around the cinched area of your wrapping paper. Tie a double knot to secure the ribbon. Tie a bow with the loose ribbon ends. Cut the ends of your ribbon to form a decorative finish your wrapped present. Read more by visiting our page at:
