Night Raid Operations Training (2012)

Video by Sgt. Richard Blumenstein 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit Marines and Sailors with Charlie Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit conduct a simulated raid with support from the 24th MEU's Combat Logistics Battalion 24 and Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron VMM-261 (Reinforced) as the final training event during their Realistic Urban Training exercise near Farmville, Va., Jan. 19, 2012. The raid tested the 24th MEU's abilities to integrate all the tools of the Marine Air Ground Task Force to neutralize a mock terrorist training camp and was the culminating event for RUT, which focuses on conducting training missions at off-base locations in unfamiliar terrain. The exercise serves to prepare and certify the Marines and Sailors of the 24th MEU for the various operations they may conduct during their upcoming deployment. Produced by Lance Cpl. Tucker S. Wolf.
