Wounded are treated and loaded onto trucks. Field guns are fired. Tanks advance. Houses are searched; Nazis emerge and surrender. A Dutch woman is removed from a burning house. Part 2, Russ. Gen. Rokossovoski observes Russ. tanks and infantry advance toward Lublin, Poland. Russ. bombers hit Ger. strong points. Infantry crosses the Bug River in boats; amphibious tanks reach the opposite shore. Truck-drawn artillery and tanks are cheered as they enter Helm; civilians embrace the Russians. Polish patriots are released from jail.
