Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations. U.S. Army Audiovisual Center. (ca. 1974 - 05/15/1984). The 30th Infantry Division - "Old Hickory" as this combat infantry division was affectionately called by military people both in and out of it. This National Guard Division is shown in North Carolina and Tennessee, and in combat. It rightfully earned its name as "the Work Horse of the Western Front." Colonel Quinn appears and explains the clothing, equipment and food available to the combat infantryman.
