Bookend Trust - Skullbone 2011 - Ulverstone High expedition

Students from Ulverstone High undertook the second "Out of the Wilderness" expedition into the spectacular Tarkine rainforest in Tasmania's north-west on 24-28 October 2011. This was a different environment with different camping conditions to the previous Skullbone expedition, but not without its own challenges. This documentary highlights the work of the students in those ancient forests as part of the Tarkine Devil Project. See http://skullbone.expeditionclass.com for the expedition reports at the time, and a video introduction to the participating Ulverstone students can be seen at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JT5zuWQsTTEThis project has been made possible via an Innovative Flexible Education Grant from the Tasmanian Department of Education, and through the support of our project partners at the Tasmanian Land Conservancy and Tarkine Trails. This documentary was filmed and edited by Peter Harcourt on his first Tasmanian assignment for Bookend.
