Bookend Trust - Skullbone 2011 - Jordan River introduction

Meet the high school students taking part in our "Out of the Wilderness: Skullbone" program. Four schools are involved in the pilot: Scottsdale High, Ulverstone High, Ogilvie High and the Jordan River Learning Federation. Participating students have been helping adventure teacher Andrew Hughes plan the expeditions that they will undertake at Skullbone Plains and in the Tarkine - some of the most spectacular wilderness on the planet, that they will in turn share with you online. The Jordan River team's expedition to Skullbone Plains will take place from 31 October to 4 November 2011, with the first live report filed at 6pm on 31st October on the interactive forum at This project has been made possible via an Innovative Flexible Education Grant from the Tasmanian Department of Education, and through the support of our project partners at the Tasmanian Land Conservancy and Tarkine Trails. This introduction was filmed and edited by Ninna Millikin on a training trip with the students, in preparation for their expedition. Music by
