To keep information saved, in QBasic, text files must be used. It is very important to remember that a file has to be closed once the program is done using it. Also, the file can not be open for output and input at the same time. When a program is opened, it is assigned a number. Fore example #1 is for the first file open, #2 for the second and so on.
