Mr. Rosen is a shareholder in the Rosen Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina. He received his B.A. in history from the University of Virginia in 1969, his M.A. in history from Harvard University in 1970, and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1973. He has also authored books on the history of Charleston and on the American Civil War.
