Farrah discusses how anxiety made her feel physically and how gaining control of her physical body helped her to quiet her mind and slow anxious thoughts as well. Exercise and fitness have also played a large role in helping Farrah overcome anxiety. When asked about how stillness affects her as a psychiatrist, Farrah points out that treating the symptoms of a mental illness usng drugs can be more detrimental to the underlying problems, and that having a healthy, sustainable way to handle anxiety, depression, stress, etc. will be more beneficial in the long run than trying to use medications. If we want to be happy with ourselves, to love ourselves and truly appreciate the beauty of life, it's important to relax, place intention on our physical bodies, clear the mind, quiet our thoughts and be here now.
