The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy hosted a dialogue about the ongoing talks of "Democracy and Mass Violence in the Arab World: Comparing Darfur and Syria." Abdelwhab El-Affendi, political analyst and visiting fellow at the Center of Islamic Studies at Cambridge University, was the Keynote speaker. Introductory notes were given by Emad Shahin, professor of public policy at the American University in Cairo. The event is the 22nd event to be organized under GAPP's well-known discussion series "Tahrir Dialogue". The panel took place on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 6 pm, AUC Tahrir Square Campus.
