Living Off The Grid - backup heater for cold nights
Sometimes I get tired and just want to sleep a night through without tossing logs on the fire every couple hours. I have a backup propane heater for those lazy nights. Yes, I cheat a little. Actually propane is not really cheating in my mind. You have to buy it somewhere else and lug it into your camp. As long as it is available, use it happily. One day it will not be around anymore. I have a Mr Heater Buddy propane heater for standby on cold, lazy nights. It has two settings, high and low. On low you can keep it nice inside the 32 foot camper on nights down to about 50 degrees. On high, you can go a bit lower, maybe down to the 30s. If it is colder than that though, all you will be doing is keeping the chill off. Below 30 it keeps the place in the 50s inside. That is still not bad for a little single burner heater. Follow The Off Grid Project: http://www.theoffgridproject.com
