Restoring a lead acid battery in my powerful spot light with an SSG

Somehow my spotlight got turned on and left that way for who knows how long. That means death to a lead acid battery. It read 0.00 volts when I tested it. A conventional charger will not even recognize a battery that low. At least none of the cheap ones I have. I hooked it up to my new Bedini SSG battery charger and it is up to 2.5 volts now. This little machine is working out very well for me. It has been restoring batteries non stop since I made it. Even my larger simplified school girl motors will not recognize a battery that low without a jumper battery in parallel. This little one though takes everything I through at it. It is a weak charger though and takes a long time to restore a battery. But it works. The machine uses back EMF spikes of energy to break up the sulfation on the plates of a badly sulfated lead acid battery, returning it to usable condition once more. And I love the pretty blue lights on the power supply :) http://www.TheDIYworld.com for more do it yourself projects
