How to find out about job opportunities this is one of the most important things you can get your head around in the whole job search game. By the time a job is actually posted, in the majority of cases it's already filled. In order to find jobs you need to research, you need to engage with people, you need to follow companies so that you are tracking when a company's getting a new client when someone's leaving an organization, when someone's coming in, when someone new is coming in. As much as possible, you want to know about this company so that when there's a change that's happening, whether they're getting a new client or someone significant is leaving their staff, you know that there's going to be an opportunity at the fore. You want to write to that company. You want to find out who's in charge of HR. You want to extend yourself to them before the job is ever posted. You want to find job opportunities before they are ever posted because by the time they're posted chances are they're already filled. Look anywhere and everywhere. Tell people that you're looking for opportunity. People know, whether it be someone who you're meeting in line at the coffee shop of when you're walking your dog, if you talk to people and tell them that you're looking for a job opportunity, they may know of something that is already there and available but just hasn't been posted yet. The trick is to find a job opportunity before its ever posted.
